So I figured that if I wanted to stay living in California,I will have to accept their crappy miniature golf courses.
Apparently, ALL miniature golf courses in the state of California are combined within a kid-type theme park, there aren’t miniature golf course businesses that specialize and provide a miniature golf course (like Florida) –no,it’s a kids oriented entertainment center that provides laser tag, arcade games and sugar/grease laden processed foods. Not only is the building itself in the shape of a terracotta colored castle but the only way to get behind the building to the golf course is to step through the epileptic inducing room of arcade games and hyperactive kids Kermit flailing all over the place.
Walking through this disaster, you start to lose your dignity and realize miniature golf in California isn’t something adults tend to enjoy (like they do in Florida), because it’s combined with arcade games, laser tag and a mini water park it seems California miniature golf courses have taken out the fun in what it really is. A place where people of any age, ANY AGE can enjoy.
Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy my first miniature golf outing with a few friends today, but, I had to complain that I did not find ONE, not ONE, miniature golf course that did NOT include laser tag, arcade games and crappy pizza!
Cashier asked if we wanted a free laser tag round if we purchased a specific golf course package –no thanks. I just wanted to play golf with a few friends, not wait in long lines for the people in front of us to move onto the next hole, or have a bunch of hormone crazed teenagers dry hump each other all over the props.
While the golf course was entertaining with friends, I was surprisingly patient with all I’ve ranted about –maybe it’s because living here for a few years has caused me to be numb and mutter my discontents to myself like an old, whiny hag. Muh. Plus, I didn't realize how picky I was with miniature golf courses, especially when all California Mini-Golf courses are combined with cheap kid-oriented games, bah
California has great sights and attractions; miniature golf is NOT one of them.
